Was a teacher for 20 years, eight of which were at Doomadgee. (Doomadgee was an assembly based aboriginal mission which is now being run by the aboriginal community.) He served as a missionary in Colombia for five years. Now an elder at the above assembly, also serving the wider church in an itinerant Bible teaching ministry. Phil and his wife Adele continue yearly visits to Doomadgee in a support ministry called Diwurrawurra.
